Your business could win up to $15,000 of energy-efficient HP technology!

The Texas Conference for Women is pleased to announce an exciting new contest for Texas-based, women-owned businesses that are helping to improve the environment. HP is proud to sponsor the Texas Conference for Women and to support this contest.

Eligibility

Any business that meets all of the following criteria:

• Woman-owned business (majority 51% or more women-owned)
• Businesses headquartered in Texas with at least 50% of employees working in Texas
• Must have been in business for at least two consecutive years as shown by legal documentation
• Businesses with no more than 100 full-time employees
• Woman business owners must be 21 or older to enter
• Woman business owners must be a resident of Texas

*Employees of HP, its related companies, their family and household members not eligible

How to Enter

• Submit a case study (500 words max) outlining how the adoption of policies and practices to lower your company’s environmental impact have also improved the financial performance of the business
• Submissions may be made between January 1, 2009 at 12:00:01 am CT and June 30, 2009 at 11:59:59 pm CT.

Awards

• There will be three winners:

1. 1st Prize  -  $15,000 worth of energy efficient technology equipment from HP
2. 2nd Prize  -  $10,000 worth of energy efficient technology equipment from HP
3. 3rd Prize  -  $5,000 worth of energy efficient technology equipment from HP

• The type of equipment will be mutually agreed to by the winners and HP
• Winners must be present at the 2009 Texas Conference for Women to accept awards

Judging Criteria

• Each submission will be carefully reviewed by a panel of judges from HP, the Texas Conference for Women and the Office of the Governor
• Submissions will be rated based on the following criteria:
  • Creativity/Innovation
  • Impact to the environment
  • Financial impact to the company
  • Employee engagement
  • Customer benefits
