SHARING OUR STRENGTH THROUGH SCHOLARSHIPS

One of the most important aspects of the Texas Conference for Women is its scholarship program, which has awarded over $100,000 in educational scholarships to deserving college women thanks to the support of our sponsors. Six amazing women will each receive $5,000 scholarships this year, and you’ll learn more about them at the Conference.

We have such an incredible response to our call for applications each year that we want to be able to help more college women achieve their goals. Last year, for the first time, we gave attendees the opportunity to donate to the scholarship program, and their generosity enabled us to award an additional $500 honorable mention financial stipend in each category.

If every attendee donated $5 to the scholarship fund, we would be able to fund an additional $30,000 in scholarships. Please consider a contribution of any amount and help make a difference in even more lives! Contributions are tax deductible. You may donate online when you register or mail a check to:

SUPPORTING ORGANIZATION SPOTLIGHT: Hispanic Woman’s Network of Texas

The Hispanic Woman’s Network of Texas (HWNT) was founded in 1987 by inviting members of existing woman and Hispanic groups from around the state to create an organization that would address issues unique to “Hispanas”.  The result is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, which has become the premier Hispanic women’s organization in Texas.

With chapters in Austin, Corpus Christi, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, Laredo, the Rio Grande Valley and San Antonio, HWNT seeks to advance the educational, cultural, social, legal and economic well-being of all women through a broader awareness of their role in society, business and family. Members strive to celebrate the positive image and values of the Hispanic culture.
